What am I Thankful For?

Back in the U.S., families everywhere are preparing for Thanksgiving and family gatherings and stuffing themselves full… And I’m across the world (not a bad deal).  Tomorrow, instead of sitting around the dinner table with my family, I’ll be heading to the airport, off on my next great adventure.  I’ve got so much to be thankful for, as it seems like the last 3 months have been a dream.

This time next month, I will be home sweet home, back with my family for Christmas, and as I’ve spent the last couple weeks holed up in my room (doing the STUDYING part of study abroad) I find myself getting more and more excited.

That being said, I still have a whole month left in Europe, and so much of this semester still to reflect on, so this year I’m saying I’m thankful for opportunity- the opportunity to study in Spain, the opportunity to travel in Europe, the opportunity to meet so many amazing people and do so many amazing things.

To end this post, I wanted to share some pictures from a trip I took with Maddie to Úbeza and Baeza, Renaissance cities located in the province of Jaen, right next to Granada. As I said, this semester has been an amazing opportunity for me to explore and to grow, and for that I am so thankful. Even if midterms may have been getting me down and taking more of my time than I’d like, hey, they’re midterms in Spain, and my life is still pretty dang good.

Úbeda

Baeza

Until next time,

Ashley
